Lola "Aunt Bea" Steedley of LaBelle passed away Monday, June 25, 2012 at the Oakbrook of LaBelle Nursing Home.
She was born February 25, 1918 in Okeechobee to the late Claude & Jensie (Carter) Wineguard; she lived in Frostproof from 1967 until 2005 when she moved to LaBelle. She was a retired plant worker for Donald Duck and Ben Hill Griffin and was a former member of the Assembly of God in Frostproof. She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening.
Lola was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James A. Steedley in 1993. Survivors include her son, James A. Steedley Jr and wife, Karen of LaBelle; six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 until 11:30 am Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof. Graveside service will follow 12:00 noon at the Eden Cemetery in Frostproof with Rev. Kelly Galati and Rev. Troy Ezell.
