Lola V. Righton

Lola V. Righton of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the Lakeland Regional Medical Center.

Lola was born November 21, 1951 in Des Moines, IA; and moved to Lake Wales from Atlanta, GA 10 years ago. She was a homeopathic practitioner for Daystar Co., a homeopathic medicine company she owned and operated. She was an avid reader, especially science fiction.

Lola is survived by her father, Lowell J. Vanderpool, Sr. of Lake Wales; mother, Frances F. "Fran" Vanderpool of Lake Wales; sister, Leilani Vanderpool MacDonald (Donald) of Isle of Lewis, Scotland; and brother, Lowell J. "Dutch" Vanderpool (Sharon) of Orlando.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home, Lake Wales. For those who wish, donations may be made in her memory to the Salvation Army of East Polk County (P.O. Box 1069, Winter Haven, FL 33882) or the Lake Wales Care Center (104 East Park Avenue, Lake Wales, FL 33853).
