Lola Hayes

Lola Hayes of Lake Wales passed away Monday, August 30, 2010 at her residence.

Born July 27, 1928 in Slab Fork, WV to the late Posey Eugene & Macie Minerva (Birchfield) Viars; she moved from West Virginia to Michigan in 1964, where she lived for 10 years before moving to Lake Wales. She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she was active in the Relief Society. She enjoyed family times, fishing, reading, genealogy and collecting crystal figurines.

Survivors include her husband, Earl Hayes; sons, Gene & Colleen Hayes of Lake Wales, Paul & Linda Hayes of Ormond By The Sea, Ed & Teri Hayes of Lake Wales, Glen & Anne Hayes of Lake Wales and Michael & Catherine Hayes of Derry, NH; sister, Edna Larwood of Michigan; 21 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 4, 2010 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Avenue, Auburndale, Florida 33823.
