Lois Marie Taylor, 92

Lois Marie Taylor of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Brookdale Assisted Living Facility in Winter Haven.

She was born July 23, 1931 in Carlisle, Indiana to the late James and Marjorie McCarter. Lois married her loving husband Harlen L. Taylor on November 12, 1949. In 1985, she moved to the area from Indiana. She enjoyed watching sports, especially basketball, football, and Nascar.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Harlen Taylor. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Van Alst and husband Bill of New Castle, Indiana, and Terri Guyette and husband Shawn of Lake Wales; sons, Alan Taylor and wife Becky of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Brad Taylor and wife Joyce of Anderson, Indiana, and Keith Taylor and wife Lisa of Demotte, Indiana; best friend, Maxine Hart of Lake Wales; grandchildren, Connie Stinson, Jaime Keesling, Jason Noble, Lindsay Noble, Marjorie “Maggie” Meyers, Taylor McDonald, Victoria McDonald, PJ McDonald, Christi Schwiger, Matt Taylor, Mike Taylor, Leslie Crouse, and Daniel Taylor; 25 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

A private celebration of life will be scheduled.
