Lloyd W. Weeks

Lloyd W. Weeks of River Ranch passed away Thursday, April 9, 2009 at the Winter Haven Hospital.

He was born February 7, 1919 in New Haven Mills, VT to the late John & Mary Weeks; he has been a winter residence for 19 years coming from Springfield, VT. He was a retired machinist for Bryant Chucking Grinder Co. in Springfield, VT and attended the River Ranch Chapel. He was an accomplished wood carving artist specializing in birds and enjoyed fishing, hiking, mountain climbing, bird watching. He and his wife were members of the Good Sam Club and enjoyed traveling the U.S. and Canada in his motor home. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Springfield, VT.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Elizabeth "Betty" Weeks; daughters, Jane Elizabeth Dennan (James) of Lake Mary, FL and Judith Butterfield (Kenneth) of West Boylston, MA; 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, April 13, 2009 at the River Ranch Chapel with Rev. Dan Futch officiating.
