Linda Jean Owen

Linda Jean Owen, 73 of Winter Haven, Florida passed away Friday, March 18, 2016 at her residence.

She was born on January 1, 1943 in Winter Haven, Florida to the late John Hubert and Dixie Marie (Butler) O’Conner and she has been a lifelong resident of this area. She was a retired Clerk for the Polk County Clerk of Courts and was of the Christian Faith. Linda always put her family first. She loved to travel and especially to Madison, Tennessee. Linda had a passion for shopping especially for shoes. The family said she was the strongest, most spiritual and prideful person they have ever known. Linda cared for others before herself.

Survivors include her daughter, Candi Hartline and husband Alan of Winter Haven; son, Tony Owen and wife Sandy of Deland; 7 grandchildren, Shane Hartline, Madison and Lexy Hartline, Jessica Owen, Caitlin Owen Williams, Savannah Owen and Tiffany Meares; 2 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Bok Tower Gardens.
