Linda Jones, 79

Linda Jones of Frostproof passed away Monday, April 4, 2022, at her residence.

She was born October 22, 1942, in McGrann, Pennsylvania to the late Charles and Julia Hodge; she has been a resident of Frostproof since 1975. Linda was the manager over the food service for Frostproof Elementary School for 35 years before retiring. She enjoyed being with her family, going on vacations and road trips, and going to the casino.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Harper Jones in 2009; daughter, Brenda Slatky; and son, Brian K. Jones. She is survived by her sons, John W. Jones of Sebring, Richard A. Jones and wife Brandy of Frostproof, and Thomas E. Jones and wife Jena of Albertville, Alabama; brother, Donald Hodge and wife Joyce of Frostproof; 17grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 11, 2022 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof with Pastor Joshua Paul officiating. Interment will follow at Silver Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends at Christian Fellowship Assembly (16 E 1 ^st Street, Frostproof, Florida 33843) following the interment.
