Linda Christine Mccann

Linda Christine McCann was delivered into the loving arms of Jesus on August 6, 2010. She passed away at Florida Hospital of Lake Placid.

Born in Pensacola, FL on October 24, 1952, she came to Wauchula from Miami in 2004. Because of her special needs, Linda lived at Sunrise Community Riverside Group Home and attended Hardee Homes Adult Day Training in Wauchula. She enjoyed going to church, listening to music and eating out. Linda touched many lives and gave us all courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life.

She was preceded in death by her father, Malcolm R. McCann of St. Augustine, FL, her brother, Steven W. McCann of Lake Wales and step-father, Dwayne M. Hunter of Lake Wales.

Linda is survived by her mother, Edna B. Hunter of Lake Wales; her sisters, Debra M. Pittack of Bartow and Julie M. Ogelby of Lake Wales; step-brother, Col. Michael D. Hunter of Hawaii; step-sister, Kimberly Hunter of Lakeland; several aunts and uncles; many nieces and nephews; and step-grandmother, Leota G. Hunter of Lake Wales.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 4, 2010 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Beckler officiating.
