Linda Joy Bailey, 73

Linda Joy Bailey of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at her residence.

She was born October 12, 1947 in Lake Ronkonkoma, New York, to the late Adrian Vanderburght; she moved to Lake Wales from Sebastian 34 years ago. Linda was a retired medical transcriptionist for Dr. Raymond Barnes and was of the Christian faith. She was a bookkeeper and enjoyed collecting angel figurines. She loved to read, visit Cassadaga, and gamble. Linda was a loving and caring mother and wife.

Linda was preceded in death by her brother, Phillip SeidenSchwarz. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Joseph Bailey; daughters, April Holton (Kelsey) of Fellsmere, Donna Kasprezyak (Jason) of Carrolton, Georgia, and Lauren Bailey (Riley) of Shirley Long Island, New York; sons, William Pinheiro (Susan) of Sebastian, Kent Bailey of Alabama, and Brian Bailey of Shirley Long Island, New York; brother, Brian Vanderburght; sister-in-law, Theresa SeidenSchwarz; nephew John; grandchildren, Kellee, Amber, Kristee, Matt (Emily), Jason, and Riley; and great-grandchildren, Jayson, Aubree, Wesley, and Kaydence.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home with John McColley officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Elks Youth Camp in Umatilla (floridaelks.org/donate).
