Lillian Frances Mccarty

Lillian Frances McCarty of Lake Wales passed away peacefully Sunday, April 3, 2016 at The Gardens of Montverde. She was born July 30, 1916 in Gadsden, AL to the late Harvey and Lila Young; and she moved to Lake Wales in 1974 from Akron, OH. She was a homemaker and a member at South Lake Wales Church of God. She was active in her church by serving as a Sunday school teacher and was a leader in the Senior Adult Group and Women of the Church of God. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and reading. She was a Godly woman with a servant’s heart. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Loyd McCarty and four brothers. Survivors include her daughters, Linda C. Rigel (William) of Lake Wales and Frances A. Brundage (Michael) of Charlotte, MI; three grandchildren, Michelle Smith (Jason), Christa McCann (Steven) and Cara Morgan (James); and six great-grandchildren, Keagan, Kaden, Lauren, Christopher, Jeremiah and Lillian. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 8, 2016 at the South Lake Wales Church of God with Rev. James Rigel officiating.
