LESLIE GEORGE “GRANDPA” BISGROVE, 103

Leslie George “Grandpa” Bisgrove passed away Sunday, July 20, 2008 at Lake Wales Medical Center.

Born April 18, 1905 in Burchinal, IA; he grew up in Clear Lake, IA; and lived in Chicago, IL where he retired as a superintendent building Diamond T. Trucks. He also lived in Monroe, MI prior to moving to Palm Harbor in 1976; and moved to Lake Wales in 1993. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed golfing, fishing and all animals. He was a kind and gentle man with a great outlook on life and was befriended by everyone he met… and he was “Grandpa” to all.

Leslie was preceded by his loving wife, Verlynne; and sons, Leslie Ted, Ronald and Bobby. Survivors include his son, Larry Bisgrove of Palm Harbor; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Friday, July 25, 2008 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home, Lake Wales. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 26, 2008 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home, Lake Wales. Memorial services and inurnment will be held in Clear Lake, Iowa, date and time will be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
