Leon Mosley, Jr.

Leon Mosley, Jr. of Lakeshore passed away Saturday, January 09, 2010 at his residence.

He was born July 15, 1936 in Metter, Georgia to the late Leon Mosley Sr and Beulah Lacy Mosley; he moved to Lakeshore from Lake Wales 8 years ago. He was a retired crane operator for Central Florida Welding, was of the Baptist faith and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge and V.F.W.

Leon was preceded in death by brother, Jackie Donald Mosley. Survivors include his lifetime companion, Maggie Newman; daughters, Connie Mosley of Winter Haven, Kathy Mosley of Lake Wales, Jacqueline Teipen (Eric) of Lake Wales and Kimberlie Kersey of Lake Wales; sons, Richard Mosley of Lake Wales and Jack Newman (Melissa) of Lake Wales; sister, June Monk of Frostproof; brother, William T. Mosley (Annell) of Lake Wales; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Monday, January 11, 2010 and the funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Rev. Keith Thompson officiating.
