Leo Phillip Tschida

Leo Tschida, 76 of Ft. Meade, Florida passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the Grove Center due to Alzheimer’s.

He was born April 11, 1938 in Mandan, North Dakota to the late Lawrence and Rose (Schaff) Tschida. He has been a resident of the area for 8 years coming from Haines City, Florida. Leo was a self-employed Bee Keeper. He was in the United States Army and a member of the Namesake Apostolic Church.

He is preceded in death by his sons Steven, Timothy, Adam, Matthew, Brothers Michael and Dan, Sister Helen.

Survivors include his wife of 50 ½ years Betty Tschida of Ft. Meade, FL, daughters Jeannie Caphton and husband David of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Christine Levorson and husband Scott of Bismarck, ND, Ann Magelkly Lucas and husband Rick of Bismarck, ND, Amanda Cox of Ft. Meade, FL, sons John Tschida and wife Patty of Haines City, FL, James Tschida and wife Sherry of Haines City, FL, Pete Tschida and wife Terri of Ft. Meade, FL, Robert Tschida and wife Janice of Haines City, FL, Simon Tschida of Ft. Meade, FL, Tony Tschida and wife Danielle of Ft. Meade, FL, sisters Rose Tschida of Mandan ND, Agnes Schumacker of Bismarck, ND, Mary Everson of WI, brothers Frank Tschida of Bismarck, ND, Gabe Tschida of Babson Park, FL, 20 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held 2:00PM December 20, 2014 at Namesake Apostolic Church with Pastor Steven Reed officiating. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm Friday, December 19, 2014 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Rolling Hills Cemetery in Winter Haven.
