Leila A. Yates

Leila A. Yates of Apopka passed away Wedneseday, March 17, 2010 at the Florida Hospital in Altamonte Springs.

She was born March11, 1927 in Lake Helen, FL to the late Leon "Sandy" & Effie Ingles McKenzie; she moved to Frostproof in 1943, where she lived until moving to Apopka. She was a homemaker and was a member of Frist Baptist Church of Frostproof. She enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family, was very tidy and loved going to church.

Leila was prceded in death by her husband, Clyde Yates. Survivors include her daughter, Connie Nash (Husband-Richard) of Okeechobee; sons, Charles L. Yates (Wife-Irene) of Kodak, Tennessee and Don D. Yates (Wife-Helen) of Apopka; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
