Laverne A. Baumgartner

LaVerne A. Baumgartner of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at her residence.

She was born April 13, 1929 in Chicago, IL to the late Rudolph & Anna Louise Swanson; and she came here 20 years ago from Naperville, IL. She was a homemaker and member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She enjoyed dancing, and playing tennis and golf. She was also a member of the St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Naperville, IL.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Frederick C. “Fritz” Baumgartner; daughter, Rae Ann Baumgartner Arnold (Timothy) of Lake Wales; sons, Gary Baumgartner (Gloria) of Naperville, IL, Larry Baumgartner (Jan) of Naperville, IL and Rick Baumgartner (Dianne) of Batavia, IL; sister, Murial Concannon of Vero Beach; 14 grandchildren, Tamra (Scott), Matthew (Casey), Jeanette, Ryan, Rob, Jeff, Michael (Brittney), Matthew, Megan, Morgan, Madison, Jill (Matt), Brett and Blake; and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Father Glenn Charest officiating.
