Laura Elizabeth Waters

Laura Waters of Frostproof passed away Sunday, June 7, 2020 at her residence.

She was born July 14, 1945 in Biloxi, Mississippi to the late James and Elizabeth Bowen; she came here from Laurel Hill, NC in 1989. She was a retired social worker at the Frostproof Care Center and member of Family Life Church. She had over 500 hours of volunteering at the care center and was a Mary Kay representative for many years. She was an avid reader, hard worker, and Georgia Bulldogs fan.

Laura was preceded in death by her daughter, Faith Waters in 1976. Survivors include her husband of over 55 years, Ralph C. Waters; daughter, Charity E. Brooks (Monique Walker) of Frostproof; sons, Cory Y. Waters (Sara Kristof) of Kitty Hawk, NC, Michael A. Waters (Giovanna Golden) of Jefferson, GA and Samuel C. Waters (Lisa) of Pembroke, MA; sister, Virginia Maier of Lafayette, LA; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 12:00 until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Family Life Church in Frostproof with Rev. Kelly Galati officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Family Life Church (Building Fund, 139 Bulldog Way, Frostproof, Florida 33843).
