Laura N Papp

Laura N. Papp, 81, of Nalcrest, Florida passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016, at the Winter Haven Hospital. She was born on March 16, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois and has been a resident of this area since 2006. She was a homemaker and of the Catholic Faith. Laura loved her family dearly. She was a keen observer of nature, enjoyed reading, flowers, and was a great storyteller to her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille E. Morton, and her granddaughter, Sarah Papp. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Michael Edward Papp; daughters, Denise Tegel of Seattle, WA, Kelley Orr and husband Jim of Escondido, CA; sons, Michael Papp, Jr and wife Laura of Nixa, MO, John Papp and wife Julianne of Brandon, FL; ten grandchildren, Ben Tegel, Steve Tegel, Jessica Cramer, Eric Papp, Claire Papp, Michelle Steward, Joseph Papp, Jacob Papp, Thomas Papp and Katherine Papp; two great-grandchildren, Saffron Tegel and Kieran Papp; and aunt, Fern Witte of Coulterville, Illinois, and a large extended family. A Celebration of life service will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 1:00p.m. at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales, Florida. In lieu of flowers,memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude's Hospital.
