Laura A. Helm of Lake Wales passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020 at her residence.

She was born December 1, 1960 to the late Benjamin and Gladys Waski and was a lifetime resident of Lake Wales. Laura was a retired Office Manager; she liked to fish, and was a big Alabama music fan, attending their concerts all over the country. She helped organize class reunions and assisted other classes as well.

Laura is survived by her husband of 40 years, Wayne Helm; brother, Kenneth Waski (Jenny) of Jacksonville; brother-in-law, Gary Helm of Lake Wales; and many special nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

The family will be receiving friends from 3:00 p.m. until the Celebration of Life at 4:00 p.m., Friday, December 18, 2020 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Rev. Denny Cothern officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105) or to Humane Society of Polk County (3195 Dundee Road, Winter Haven, Florida 33884).
