LARRY SULLIVAN, 80

Larry Sullivan of Frostproof passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021 at his residence.

He was born November 12, 1940 in Avon Park to the late Murdock Crum and Grace Elizabeth Sullivan; he was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a citrus grower, cattle rancher, and real estate broker; and member of the First Baptist Church of Frostproof. He was the member of the Frostproof Chamber of Commerce, past President of the Frostproof Rotary Club, and a Paul Harris Fellow.  He served two terms on the city council and was a former mayor. He a member of the Wild Turkey Federation and was a proud holder of the World Turkey Grand Slam, in which he harvested all six species of turkeys throughout North and Central America. He was also a member of the Frostproof FFA Alumni Association and past member of the Frostproof Athletic Boosters. He was a long-time assistant to Coach Farris Brannen in keeping team statistics. He was an avid University of Florida Gator fan and supporter of Ducks Unlimited.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Estelle M. Sullivan; daughter, Sarah Sullivan Marston and her husband, Brian of Babson Park; son, Martin Sullivan of Chiefland; grandchildren, Sadie Elizabeth Marston, Luray Catherine Marston, Noah L. Sullivan and his fiancé, Haley Tovar, and Madelin J. Sullivan; great-granddaughter, Paisley Lindabell Sullivan; and brother, Matthew Sullivan of Avon Park. Larry passed away the same day as his twin brother, Gary Sullivan; he was also preceded in death by his two brothers, Richard Stephen Sullivan and Allen Lamar Sullivan.

Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 6, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Frostproof with Rev. Darrol Hood and Rev. Garison Taylor officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Frostproof Athletic Boosters Club or the Frist Presbyterian Memorial Fund.
