Larry K. Hadden, 71
Larry K. Hadden of Frostproof, surrounded by his family, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Advent Health Sebring.
He was born October 1, 1949 in Avon Park to the late Everett and Sallie Hadden. Larry was a retired Environmental Health and Safety Manager for Cargill and was a veteran of the United States Army who served in Vietnam. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Frostproof, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, listening to music and antique cars. He was an excellent carpenter, a collector of oddities, past Mayor, was on the City Council, and was a Deacon of the church.
Larry was preceded in death by his sister, Gladys M. Owen; and brother, John M. Hadden. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Cheryl Hadden of Frostproof; daughter, Felicia Ann Colon and husband Gil of Bartow; son, Larry Chad Hadden and wife Melinda of Babson Park; sisters, Johnnie C. Bradshaw of Lake Toxaway, North Carolina, Ruthie W. Blasio of Frostproof, and Deborah D. Marlow of Frostproof; brothers, James K. Hadden and Ronnie B. Hadden, both of Frostproof; and grandchildren, Austin Hurst, Adriana Colon, Conner Hadden, and Lauren Hadden.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 29, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Frostproof with Rev. Darrol Hood officiating. Interment will follow at Silver Hill Cemetery.
