Lamar Pickles

Lamar Pickles of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the Somers Hospice House in Sebring.

He was born September 16, 1946 in Lake Wales to the late Howard Lee & Lois Pickles; he was a lifelong resident of the area. He was employed by Florida’s Natural and served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Lake Wales V.F.W. and the Lake Wales Elks Lodge; and enjoyed fishing, family gatherings and cookouts.

Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Sharie Pickles; sons, Terry Pickles of Bartow and Rodney Pickles of Auburndale; step-daughter, Kimberly Gimondo (Lee) of Apopka; step-son, Albert Coppedge of Frostproof; sister, Janan Parrish of Lake Wales; step-sisters, Sheila Leslin (Rich) of Rockford, IL and Cheryl Bair (Paul) of Winter Haven; step-brother, Lamar Beasley of Winter Haven; five granddaughters and one great-granddaughter.

Memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Monday, April 15, 2013 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Rev. Paul Gordon officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Good Shepherd Hospice.
