KENNETH “KEN” WARD, 62

Kenneth “Ken” Ward passed away on Monday, November 24, 2008 in the peace and comfort of his home in Indian Lake Estates.

Born on October 16, 1946 in Huntington, WV; the son of Kenneth and Virginia Ward. Ken moved to Cleveland, OH in 1960. At the age of 18 he began a 30 year career with TRW/Textron Corp., pausing in 1966 to serve his country in the U.S. Army, retiring in 1995. He moved his family to Punta Gorda, FL in 1997 where he worked for Creative Dinettes for eight years until medical problems left him disabled. He moved to the tranquility of Indian Lake Estates in 2007.

His most important role in life however was that of a loving husband to Betty; patient and caring father to Michelle Ward of Orlando, Candice (Darrel) Wilson of Port Charlotte, Kelly Miller and Kenneth Ward both of Cleveland, OH; gentle “Papaw” to Paul and Andrew; and a kind brother to Gail (Tom) Fitzgerald of Mentor, OH.

The family requests any donations be made in his memory to Good Shepherd Hospice, who’s skills and compassion afforded him the highest quality of life in his last several months.
