Kenneth Wilbur Stapleton

Kenneth W. “Ken” Stapleton, 77 of Winter Haven, Florida passed away Saturday, April 2, 2016 at his residence.

He was born on December 6, 1938 in Huntington, West Virginia to the late John and Roxie (Wooten) Stapleton and he has been a resident of this area for 55 years and a resident of Winter Haven for 11 years. He was a Certified Welder for Clark Boiler Engineering. Ken served in the US Army.

He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Avis Stapleton of 51 years; sons, Rick Stapleton of Winter Haven, Scott Stapleton of Winter Haven, Curtis Stapleton and his wife Donna of Corning, OH, Kenneth Stapleton of OH; 2 grandchildren, Josh and Chelsie.

Graveside services will be held 11:30 am Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Lake Wales Cemetery with Larry Geiger officiating.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home.
