Kenneth A. Skinner of Winter Haven, Florida passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2015 after a very long illness.
He is survived by his wife Barbara. He precedes his parents Clarence and Ruby Lee Skinner of Mt. Vernon, NY. He also leaves a sister Constance Terry, brother Leon Skinner and Aunt Vera Dorch all of Mt. Vernon, NY; sons Kenneth Skinner II of Newark, NJ, Kenneth Skinner III of New York, Pepe Skinner of Yonkers, NY, Sylvester Skinner of Philadelphia, Pa; daughters Serena Skinner of Yonkers, NY, Denise Allen of Raleigh, NC; Patricia Todd of Ports Mouth, VA, April Green of Monroe , NY, Stepsons Abdul Qawi Guess of Hamden, CT, Walter Guess of Hamden and Kevin Guess of Meriden, Ct, also 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
He enjoyed motorcycles and boating. In 1952 he graduated from Edison Vocational and Technical high School in Mt. Vernon, NY then joined the Army for 3 years. In 2003 he retired as a Tow Truck driver for the Philadelphia Police dept. A viewing will be held at Marion Nelson Funeral Home Thursday, March 5, 2015 from 6:00-8:00PM. Funeral service will be held Friday, March 6, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Rev. David Durham officiating.
