Kenneth H. “Ken” Kensinger, 54

Kenneth Kensinger of Babson Park Florida passed away Monday, January 16, 2017 at his residence. He was a beloved husband, son, brother and uncle.

He was born May 17, 1962 in Lakeland, Florida to the late Harold W. and Annette (Richards) Kensinger. He has been a lifelong resident of the area.  He was a History Teacher for McLaughlin Middle School and member of Central Avenue Baptist Church in Lake Wales. Ken enjoyed playing golf, tennis, he loved going to the mountains and fishing, Ken enjoyed researching family history and Ancestry and was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan.

He is preceded in death in 2006 by his son Isaac John Kensinger, whom we were never able to hold but held dearly in our hearts.

He is survived by his wife of 11 years Karen C. Kensinger of Babson Park, FL, sisters Kathy Perdue and husband Tim of Groveland, FL, Susanne K. Medlin and husband Rodney of Clermont, FL, brothers Mike Kensinger and wife Alice of Lakeland, FL and John Kensinger and wife Lynn of Lakeland, FL.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 20, 2017 from 6:00-8:00PM at Marion Nelson Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 2:00PM Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the Central Avenue Baptist Church in Lake Wales with Rev. Stephen Bolden officiating.
