Kenneth Melton Edwards

Kenneth Melton Edwards of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at his residence.

He was born November 11, 1941 in Mossy Head, FL to the late Harry and Pearl (Cannon) Edwards; and was a lifetime resident of the Lake Wales area. He was the retired owner of Edwards Construction and attended Golfview Church of God. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge and loved air boating, hunting, fishing, horses, his family and his God.

Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Eddie Edwards, Lester Edwards, Buddy Edwards & Jerry Edwards; and one great-granddaughter, Kylah Jackson which he will join in heaven. Survivors include his daughters, Patti Watson of Winter Haven, Cindy Sellers of Alturas and Tina Singletary of Lake Wales; sons, Dwayne Edwards of Pinson, AL, Kenneth Edwards Jr of Lake Wales & Devon Edwards of Lake Wales; sisters, Sis Burrows, Caroline Edwards, Pauline Locke; brothers, Pete Edwards, Royce Edwards; 19 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 on the way.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Friday, August 28, 2009 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 29, 2009 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
