Kenneth A Davis

Kenneth A. “Ken” Davis, 70, of Frostproof, Florida passed away Friday, August 24, 2018 at his residence.

He was born on February 2, 1948 in Frostproof, Florida to the late David Miles and Sarah (Martin) Davis and he has been a lifelong resident of this area. He was the Owner/Operator of Davis Citrus Inc. Ken was an avid gator hunter, enjoyed air boating and family times and he served in the National Guard. He was retired deputy chief of the Frostproof Volunteer Fire Department and former Polk County Sheriff Deputy and Frostproof Police Officer.  He was a Frostproof City Councilman and also a past Pres. of the Polk County Farm Bureau.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Donna Davis; Daughter, Tracey Northington (Stephen) of Kennesaw, Georgia; son, Miles Davis (Melodie) of Frostproof; sister, Kay Herndon (Richard) of Avon Park; 4 grandchildren, Ivey Barrett, Evan Northington, Paige Davis and Grayson Davis.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 28 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Frostproof. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church of Frostproof with Rev. Kelly Galati and Rev. James B. Wood officiating. Interment will be held at the Silver Hill Cemetery.
