Kenneth Brewer

Kenneth Brewer of Frostproof passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at his residence.

He was born March 01, 1947 in Lake Wales to the late Murray Edwin & Cemeal Celeste (Boatwright) Brewer; he was a lifelong resident of Polk County and came to Frostproof as an infant. He was a retired heavy equipment operator at Granger Paving in Frostproof and a member of the Frostproof Church of God. He enjoyed family time, hunting, fishing and woodworking. He was an Atlanta Braves fan.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his brother, Buckshot Brewer. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Brewer; daughters, Shannon Riner of Frostproof and Brandy Brewer of Frostproof; son, Kenneth Brewer of Frostproof; sister, Gladys Landers of Frostproof; brother, Pastor James H. Brewer of Pahokee; and one grandchild, Logan Smith.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Thursday, September 24, 2009 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, September 25, 2009 at the Frostproof Church of God with Rev. Rex Daniels and Pastor James H. Brewer officiating. Interment will follow at the Silver Hill Cemetery.
