Kenna “Ken” Lawrence Adair, 86

Kenna “Ken” Lawrence Adair of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at Astoria Rehabilitation in Winter Haven.

He was born April 21, 1937 in Slaters Branch, Kentucky to the late Ermal and Lassie Adair; he moved to Lake Wales in 1984. Ken was a retired building contractor and a member of First Baptist Church of Lake Wales. He was a member of Masonic Lodge, 32° Scottish Rite, the Good Sam’s Club, and the Family Motor Coach Association. Ken traveled for 21 years in the motor home with his wife.

Ken was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Carolyn J. Adair; children, Kenneth Adair and wife Galina of Kennilon, New Jersey, Pamela Lane and husband Jeff of Melbourne, Timothy Adair and wife Margie of Dallas, Georgia, Rachel Harmon and husband Tony of Winter Haven, and Brandon; step-children, Lori Resmondo and Mike of Lake Wales, Jerome Stewart, Jr. and wife Lois of Lake Wales, and Joseph Stewart and wife Tecy of Lawton, Oklahoma; sister, Nancy Smith;12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 26, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Lake Wales with Dr. Scott Markley officiating. Interment will follow at Lake Wales Cemetery. Following the interment, a reception will be held back at First Baptist Church.
