Kelly Dawson Smith

Kelly Dawson Smith, a devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away on December 20, 2025, at AdventHealth Heart Of Florida. He was born on December 2, 1961, in Provo, Utah.

Kelly dedicated much of his career as a crew leader for the City of Orem, Utah. His work ethic and commitment to his job were well-known, and he took pride in serving his community. However, those who knew Kelly best would describe him as a true family man who cherished time spent with his loved ones.

In addition to his work, Kelly had a wide array of interests. He was an avid fan of the Detroit Lions and enjoyed golfing. He had a particular passion for shark tooth hunting and was known for his enthusiasm in keeping his pool clean, often seen working diligently to maintain it.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dean and Gwen Smith. Kelly is survived by his wife, Maryanne Smith, with whom he shared 39 years of marriage. He leaves behind his son Tyson Smith of California, and his son Kendall Smith and daughter-in-law Emilee of Winter Haven. Kelly was also a proud grandfather to Kenlee.
