Kelly J. Barrows

Kelly J. Barrows of Lake Wales passed away Monday, March 29, 2010 at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa.

He was born September 11, 1958 in Rochester, NY to the late Wilbur & Marie Barrows; he grew up in the Fort Lauderdale area and moved to Lake Wales in 1983 after serving in the U.S. Army. He was a former truck driver and was formerly employed at the City of Lake Wales and Bassett Bedding; and was a member of the West Side Baptist Church. He enjoyed music, playing guitar, fishing, and the outdoors.

Survivors include his wife, Erlie Barrows; daughter, Kathryn Barrows of Lake Wales; sisters, Gerry Merrell (husband-Bill) of Winter Haven and Kim Gundy of Missouri; brothers, Jim Barrows (wife-Mert) of Fort Scott, KS and John Barrows (wife-Carla) of Orlando.

The family will receive friends from 8:30 AM until the funeral service at 9:30 AM, Friday, April 2, 2010 at the West Side Baptist Church with Rev. Stephen Bolden officiating. Interment will follow at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
