Kathleen M. Russ

Kathleen M. Russ of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, January 15, 2012 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

She was born December 26, 1929 in Calhoun, GA to the late Walter William & Hattie Mae (Williams) Holt; she came here from Calhoun, GA in 1953. She was retired from Florida's Natural and a member of the First Assembly of God. She enjoyed going to church, like to cook, was the head of the family and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Russ. Survivors include her daughters, Gladys O. Cain (Hampton) of Lake Wales and Wendy Hall (Bennie) of Lake Wales; step-daughter, Vera Davis of Lake Wales; sons, Frank Howard Bennett Jr (Lois) of Lafayette, GA and Randy Lee Bennett of Rutherfordton, NC; sister, Rosa Mae Burchett of Calhoun, GA; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 pm Thursday, January 19, 2012 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales and the graveside service will be held 1:00 pm Friday, January 20, 2012 at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
