Kathleen “Kat” Hawkins, 94

Kathleen “Kat” Hawkins of Lake Wales passed away Friday, May 6, 2022 at her residence.

She was born June 7, 1927 in Ohio to the late Thomas and Sallie Hutchens; she moved to Lake Wales from Lexington, Kentucky in 1976. Kat was a homemaker, and previously worked in Central Supply at Lake Wales Hospital, and was a bus drivers aid. She was a great cook and enjoyed baking and collecting antiques. Kat had a great sense of humor and was an avid Kentucky Wildcat fan. She loved spending time with her family over anything.

Kat was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hawkins. She is survived by her daughter, Sally Mongeon and husband John of Lake Wales; sons, Jamie DeMoss and wife Karen of Lake Wales, and Charlie DeMoss of Waynesburg, Kentucky; sisters, Lucy DuValle of Kentucky, and Judy Ritchey of Florida; and grandchildren, Charles DeMoss, Lori Demoss, Vinnie Cosce, and David Cosce.
