Katherine Tolson Shelton Lewis

Katherine Tolson Shelton Lewis of Lake Wales went to be the Lord Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at the Winter Haven Health & Rehab.

She was born March 29, 1928 in Banks, AL to the late H.M. Tolson, Sr. and Mattie T. Sikes Tolson; she came here in 1932 from Avon Park. She was retired from Citrus World and a member of the West Side Baptist Church. She also worked as a server at Chalet Suzanne and enjoyed walking, family times and cooking.

Katherine was preceded in death by her first husband, E.B. Shelton, a sister, Beatrice Hickman and a brother, Carroll Tolson. Survivors include her husband, Abner Lewis Jr.; daughter, Kathy Krug (Dick) of Zionsville, IN; sons, Ronnie Shelton (Connie) of Lakeland and Keith Shelton of Zebulon, GA; step-son, Blake Lewis of Daytona Beach; brother, Harry Tolson, Jr. of Babson Park; sister, Jan Hartung of Fort Lauderdale; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Friday, February 19, 2010 and the funeral service will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday February 20, 2010 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
