Katherine “Kitty” Greene, 93

Katherine “Kitty” Greene of Lake Wales was ushered into Heaven by Jesus to join the love of her life, Ralph Greene, on Sunday, September 22, 2024.

She was born October 30, 1930 in Lake Wales to the late Elmer and Bertha Hansen; she has been a lifelong resident of the area. She retired from General Telephone Company and was a member of First Baptist Church of Lake Wales. She enjoyed singing in the choir at Victory Assembly of God in Lakeland where she was a former member. She was always ready for a road trip and enjoyed watching nature in her backyard. Kitty was the epitome of a true lady. Her world revolved around her family who she loved dearly. Kitty was lovingly cared for by her daughters, Millie and Margaret, her sister, Carol, and her granddaughter, Shawn, with the grace and love you rarely see these days. She knew she was blessed beyond measure.

Kitty was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Greene; brother, Ralph “Bill” Hansen; sister, Frances Mobley; and son-in-law, Jim Bolden. She is survived by her daughter, Millie Greene (Marcus) of Lake Wales, and Margaret Bolden of Lake Wales; sister, Carol Halloran (Dan) of Lake Wales; and her granddaughters who were her world, Shawn Hastings (Spencer) and Annabelle Sprague.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales.
