Karen Rae Mercer George of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

She was born March 22, 1954 in Jackson, MI to the late Nathan and Irene Mercer; she came to Lake Wales from Lansing, MI five years ago. She was a retired medical assistant for Blue Cross Blue Shield, loved to shop and scrapbooking.

Karon is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Mercer of Michigan; and son, Jason Bashore of Davenport, FL.
