Karla Kuuipo Montgomery, 71

Karla Kuuipo Montgomery of Babson Park passed away Friday, October 28, 2022 at Winter Haven Hospital.

She was born March 18, 1951 in Honolulu, Hawaii to the late Abraham and Alice Kaumeheiwa; she came to Babson Park from Honolulu, Hawaii 46 years ago. She was a retired dispatcher for Lake Wales Police Department and a member of the South Lake Wales Church of God. She loved her family, especially her grandkids.

Karla was preceded in death by her brother, Woody Kaumeheiwa. Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Roy Montgomery; daughters, Erica Hoxie of Lake Wales, Keahaulani Montgomery of Lake Wales, and Nicole Montgomery of Lake Wales; sister, Carlene Kaumeheiwa-Rego (John) of Hawaii; brothers, Reginald Kaumeheiwa of California, Kalani Kaumeheiwa of Hawaii, and Abraham Kaumeheiwa, Jr., of Hawaii; and six grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held from 5:00pm until 8:00pm Saturday, November 12, 2022 at the South Lake Wales Church of God – Community Ministry Center (210 Presidents Drive, Lake Wales, FL 33859).
