Karl Lee Egbert, 63

Karl Lee Egbert of Bailey, Colorado passed away peacefully Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Waters Edge of Lake Wales after a long battle with Early-Onset Alzheimer’s Disease.

He was born February 24, 1961 in Denver, Colorado to the late Robert and Lolita Egbert. Karl graduated from Colorado School of Mines with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, he was known for his brilliance in the HVAC industry and as a successful business owner. He was an avid cartoonist, kids’ rodeo clown, teacher, and friend to everyone. Karl was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where he taught many church classes, and served in a variety of leadership callings. He loved sports, especially baseball, but even more than watching or participating in sports, he loved coaching and mentoring kids in sports and in life. He loved anything and everything Disney. Karl loved drawing and writing cartoon stories for his kids and was always ready and willing to be involved in anything his kids were in. His family was always at the center of his world.

Karl is survived by his wife of 37 years, Cynthia Lloyd Egbert; daughters, Michayla (Matthew) Jones of Virginia and Seviah Egbert of Florida; sons, Malachi (Kayla) Egbert of Florida and Kodren (Mikaela) of Colorado; brothers, Mark Egbert of Colorado and Matt Amari of Oregon; grandson, Gadsden; many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Colorado.
