Karen Ann Frew, 75

Karen Ann Frew of Frostproof passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Somers Hospice House in Sebring under the care of Good Shepherd Hospice.

She was born February 25, 1948 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania to the late Edward and

Mildred Kaster; she moved to Frostproof from Pennsylvania in 2006. Karen was a seamstress and loved crocheting and diamond art. She enjoyed playing games, watching her favorite TV shows, and traveling to the mountains. Karen had a special place in her heart for her dogs, Sweetie Pie and Gunther.

Karen was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Kaster Morgan. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, George Raymond Frew of Pottsville, Pennsylvania; sons, Chris Kaster and wife Carla of Pennsylvania, Daniel Sparks and wife Melissa of North Carolina, George Frew of Pennsylvania, and Michael Frew and wife Jennifer of Frostproof; sister, Jane Kaster Denton and husband Ron of Lake Wales; brother, Edward Kaster and wife Holly; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
