Karen M. Ball

Karen M. Ball of Lake Wales passed away Saturday, March 5, 2011 at the Good Shepherd Hospice facility in Auburndale.

She was born January 17, 1946 in Chicago, IL to the late Clyde and Marie (Berndt) Hitz; and came here from Morris, IL five months ago. She retired as a receptionist for Midwest Orthopedics in Orland Park, IL, and attended the Community Church of Christ of Winter Haven. She was also a former foster parents, and loved taking care of her dogs.

Survivors include her husband, Robert W. "Bob" Ball; daughter, Debbie Lopez (Mike) of Morris, IL; son, Robert C. "Bobby" Ball (Rachel) of Crestwood, IL; grandsons, Matthew and Mason.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home, Lake Wales with visitation from 1:00-2:00 PM.
