Kallie Blake Lathero, 32

Kallie Blake Lathero of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at the Bartow Center.

She was born January 22, 1991 in Bartow and she has been a lifelong resident of the area. Kallie was a Guardian Ad Litem for the State of Florida and was studying to be a hairdresser. Kallie was known for her love of all animals, she was always eager to take in a stray. From dogs to chickens, she loved them all. She was a talented Barrel Horse trainer who was always willing to help someone else become a winner.

Kallie had a love for music that was unmatched, she loved to dance and was an amazing singer. She touched people with her smile and quick wit. She loved horses and was a member of the NBHA (National Barrel Horse Association), WPRA (Women’s Professional Rodeo Association) and the FBRA (Florida Barrel Racer Association). She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She loved God and rode good horses. She will be missed and remembered forever.

Kallie is survived by her husband of 7 years, Michael Lathero; son, Stetson Lathero of Lake Wales; mother, Leslie Booream and husband John of Lake Wales; father, Charles Johnson and wife Shannon; and sister, Kacie Cranor and husband DJ of Lake Wales.

A visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home.
