Jurgen Ingo Kurschner, 79

Jurgen Ingo Kurschner of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022 at Winter Haven Hospital.

He was born October 18, 1942 in Pethau, Germany to the late Herr Dr. Ingo Kuerschner and Elfriede Oehlmann; he has been a resident of United States for 58 years. Jurgen was the retired CFO for Findlay Industries and a member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Wales. After escaping from East Germany, Jurgen backpacked throughout Europe, Northern Africa, the United States, and Central America. He loved the mountains, the woods, and spending time around the campfire.

Jurgen is survived by his wife, Sharon Kurschner; son, Bo Boyte, and wife Missy of Lake Wales; and grandchildren, Kamryn and Taylor.

A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral service at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 21, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Lake Wales with Dr. Scott Markley. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a memorial donation to a charity near and dear to your heart.
