Judith Wells Keel

Judith W. Keel, 74, of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at her residence.

She was born October 7, 1939 in Cumberland, Kentucky to the late William Perry and Mabel E. (Bellis) Wells and has been a resident of this area since 1973 moving here from Boaz, Alabama. Judy was retired from Bunting, Tripp and Ingley as a clerical worker and was of the Methodist Faith. She was an avid supporter of the Lake Wales Highlander band, serving on the board of directors for many years. One of her favorite duties was distributing and fitting uniforms. This activity put her in close contact with band members, many of whom developed a close relationship with her that they continued for many years after. Judy had a quick wit and a broad wisdom, which she maintained to her last days.

Judith was preceded in death by her sisters, Margie Simmons, Patty Wells and Hanna Wells; brother, James Wells

Survivors include her husband of 58 years Ronald Lee Keel, daughters, Andrea Fitterling and husband Mike of Lake Wales, Cynthia Landen and husband David of Lake Wales, son, Ronald L. Keel, Jr. and wife Paula of Lake Wales. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Courtney Montgomery, Cody Cannon, Andrea Landen, Trey Keel, Jacob Fitterling and Tess Fitterling.

The family invites friends to a Celebration of Life reception on Saturday, September 13, 2014, from 1 PM to 5 PM at the residence, 410 Canal Drive, Lake Wales.
