Juanita Grissom

Juanita Grissom of Frostproof passed away Thursday, July 15, 2010 at her daughter's residence.

She was born October 6, 1918 in Georgia to the late Homer & Emma Peavey; she came to this area as a child. She was a retired custodian from the Frostproof High School, was a member of the Frostproof Church of God and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Grissom in 1977, a daughter, Sarah Baker and a granddaughter, Sandra Kay Baker. Survivors include her daughter, Martha Chester (husband, Ronnie) of Frostproof; a son, Eddie Grissom (wife, Marlyne) of Frostproof; 3 grandchildren, Terry Baker, Eddie Grissom and Ryan Chester; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Monday, July 19, 2010 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at the Frostproof Church of God with Rev. Rex Daniels officiating. Interment will follow at the Silver Hill Cemetery.
