JUANITA CHAMBLESS, 84

LAKE WALES--Juanita Chambless of Lake Wales died of heart failure Sunday (Nov. 05, 2006) at the Groves Center. She was 84.

Born January 14, 1922 in Greenwood, AL; she was to the area in the late 1940’s from Columbus, GA. She was a retired manager for department stores in Lake Wales. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, a past Sunday school teacher and enjoyed sewing and cooking.

Mrs. Chambless was preceded in death by her husband, John Leland Chambless in 1982; granddaughter, Missy Ard; brothers, Calvin, Elijah and Tom Braddock. Survivors include her daughters, Sandra K. Lincoln of Indian Lake Estates; Brenda Faye Carter of Lake Wales; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, November 08, 2006 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 09, 2006 at the funeral home with Rev. A.J. Steverson officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
