Juana Acevedo

Juana Acevedo, 89 of Frostproof, Florida passed away Monday, May 16, 2016 at Somer’s Hospice House.

She was born July 29, 1926 in Guayama, Puerto Rico to the late Eleno and Leocadia (Vega) Acevedo. She has been a resident of the area for one year coming from Bronx, New York. She enjoyed cooking, flower and vegetable gardening and listening to Mexican music. She was of the Catholic faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband Julio Santiago, sons Julio, Americo, Chucho, and Tato.

Survivors include her daughter Juanita Santiago, Bronx, NY, sons Fran Santiago, PR, Carli Santiago, Frostproof, FL, Bernardo Santiago, Bronx, NY, 24 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
