Juan Luis Maldonado, born on December 7, 1962, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, passed away at his residence on December 20, 2025.

He was a beloved figure known for his warm spirit and dedication to his family. Juan recently retired from his role as a Pro Associate at Home Depot, a position he took pride in. Juan had a passion for gardening and building things. He enjoyed dancing and listening to music, which brought him joy and happiness. His hobbies reflected his vibrant personality and his love for life.

Juan was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Maria Maldonado, brother, Nelson Maldonado; and sister, Edda. He is survived by his wife, Janice Maldonado, with whom he shared 19 wonderful years of marriage. Juan is also survived by his daughters, Denise Maldonado of Elyria, Ohio; Angie Maldonado of Lake Wales; and Isabella Maldonado of Lake Wales. His son, Juan Maldonado, resides in Saint Cloud. He cherished his siblings, including Sandra Maldonado of Lake Wales; Wanda Maldonado of Boston, Massachusetts; Betsy and Haydee, both of Florida and New York, respectively; Fernando Maldonado of Massachusetts; and Victor Maldonado of Ponce, Puerto Rico. Juan also leaves behind his brother Edwin Maldonado of Lorain, Ohio, and six grandchildren.

A funeral mass in his honor will be held on December 29, 2025, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lake Wales, starting at 2:00 PM. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.marionnelsonfuneralhome.com.
