Joyce Duncan Violette

Joyce Duncan Violette of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, April 1, 2012 at her residence.

She was born August 25, 1958 in Lake Wales and was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a teacher at Union Academy in Bartow and a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was an antiques collector, enjoyed shopping and going to the beach.

Joyce was preceded in death by her daughter, Alena Violette and her mother, Trudy Kirch Duncan. Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Tim Violette; two daughters, Marci Violette of Lake Wales and Kati Violette of Lake Wales; father, Brad Duncan of Lakeland; brother, Alan Duncan of Atlanta, GA; and one granddaughter, Alli.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am Thursday, April 5, 2012 at the First Presbyterian Church in Lake Wales with Rev. Chad Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
