Joyce Elizabeth Hall of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, February 10, 2011 at the Winter Haven Hospital.

She was born April 30, 1929 in Big Moose, New York to the late Joel & Estella (Churchill) Potter; she came here from Alameda, CA in 1967. She was a homemaker, a member of the First Baptist Church of Waverly and a veteran of Korea, serving in the U.S. Navy. She was a member of the Women's Missionary Union and "Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Services". She also worked as a voting poll worker.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Hall and a grandchild, Ashton. Survivors include her daughters, Linda Hall of Orlando and Dianne Hall & husband, Cecil Slaughter of Melrose; sons, Wesley Hall & wife, Becky of Winter Haven and Douglas Hall & wife, Donna of Brandon; sisters, Mary Schauber of Rochester, NY and Jean Fitzgerald of Fort Walton Beach; brothers, Lawrence Potter of New Cumberland, PA and James Potter of Rancho Cordova, CA; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. A private interment will be held at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
