Josephine Yates Owen

Josephine Yates Owen of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at The Groves Center.

She was born December 14, 1928 in Quitman, GA to the late Charley and Alva (Chancey) Yates; and came to this area in 1953. Josephine was a retired motel/restaurant owner, and of the Baptist Faith.

Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Artemus Owen; and her daughter, Beverly Gaetz. Survivors include her daughter, Kathy O'Connor of Land O Lakes; sisters, Mertis Isom of Frostproof, Evelyn Fann of Frostproof, and Lillian Tidwell of Philadelphia, MS; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
